Course Description: A brief overview of the course. Learning Objectives: The Learning Objectives tell you what you can learn from the course and the courses are designed to provide content that will help you to achieve the learning. Achieving them is ultimately up to you. Pre-assessments: A questionnaire that gives you one opportunity to assess your level of knowledge in the chosen course, before you actually start the lesson. The results will give you a sense of the areas that you know well and those you need to master further. Modules: The modules are designed to build on each other as you work through the course. At the end of each module you are required to complete an exercise that gives you an opportunity to assess your understanding of the content. A result of 75% is required before moving on to the next module and you are given several opportunities to achieve this result. The number of modules in a course varies depending on the length of the course, the average is 4 modules. Course Material: All courses include readings that are accessed online. You have the ability to print the readings if you wish. Exercises: As mentioned in the Modules section, there is an exercise at the end of each module. At the end of each module you are required to complete an exercise that gives you an opportunity to assess your understanding of the content. A result of 75% is required before moving on to the next module and you are given several opportunities to achieve this result. The questions are made up of multiple choice, select the right words and true or false questions. Final Course Quiz: All course module exercises must be completed before taking the Final Course Quiz. A result of 75% is required to successfully complete the course. You are given several opportunities to achieve this result. Course Evaluation: OREA Real Estate College Continuing Education's goal is to provide you with high quality and relevant courses. To be able to accomplish this effectively we rely on your feedback. All OREA courses include a course evaluation and you will be asked to complete the course evaluation as a requirement of the course. This process will give you an opportunity to reflect on your learning experience and provide us with feedback on what you learned, what you liked and what could be improved on. Your comments will be treated in a confidential manner and will help to enhance future courses. Certificate: All Module Exercises and the Final Course Quiz must be successfully completed, in addition to the Course Evaluation, before you are eligible to print your Certificate of completion. You should retain your Certificate for evidence of successful course completion and credit towards your 24 hour Continuing Education requirement. My Portfolio: Provides you with your personal history of the OREA Real Estate College Continuing Education Online courses that you have successfully completed. Instructor Support: All participants have the option of e-mailing questions to the course instructor during their participation in the course. After sending questions to the instructor, please allow 24 hours for the instructor's e-mail response. Additional Reading: Provides you with the names of publications, websites and recommended reading applicable to the course you are participating in. Discussion Forum: The e-mail based discussion forum provides course participants with the option of discussing course content with other course participants during the course. This option will be available in the near future. My Profile: Provides participants that are engaging in the Discussion Forum background information about themselves and the other participants, such as name, number of years in the business and area of specialization. This function will be activated along with the Discussion Forum. Privacy: Except for information you share with your instructor and other learners enrolled in the Discussion Forum your contributions are private. Your Module Exercises and Final Course Quiz results will not be shared unless you choose to do so. The only results that will be retained by OREA Real Estate College Continuing Education are overall statistical summaries for evaluation purposes and a record of your course completion. Course Duration: The length of time it takes you to complete the course will vary depending on your level of knowledge and understanding of the subject.
