Toronto, February 29, 2008... Niagara-on-the-Lake real estate broker Gary Zalepa Jr. was elected director-at-large of the Ontario Real Estate Association (OREA) at its annual conference on February 27.

In this capacity, he will represent the association’s members on the board of directors and the senior level executive committee.

Active in the real estate profession for 12 years, Mr. Zalepa is a broker with CENTURY 21 City Realty Inc., Brokerage in Niagara-on-the-Lake. He is a member and past president of the Niagara Association of REALTORS® and past director of the St. Catharines District Real Estate Board. Mr. Zalepa has served as chair of OREA’s finance committee and FSBO task force, and as a member of the government relations and legal resource committees. He has served on the OREA Board since 2004. Most recently, he served as chair of the MLS data sharing task force and alternative models real estate board task force.

The Ontario Real Estate Association represents 45,000 brokers and salespeople who are members of the 43 real estate boards throughout the province. Members of the association may use the “REALTOR®” trademark, which identifies them as real estate professionals who subscribe to a high standard of ethics and service.

OREA serves REALTORS® through a wide variety of professional publications, educational programs, government lobbying and other services. A division of the association, the OREA Real Estate College, provides all real estate registration education courses in Ontario.
