Dorothy Mason, Substantial Membership Director

Toronto, February 29, 2008...Toronto real estate broker Dorothy Mason will continue in the position of substantial membership director of the Ontario Real Estate Association (OREA), the association announced at its annual conference on February 27.

In this capacity, she will represent the Toronto Real Estate Board on the board of directors.

Active in the real estate profession for 31 years, Ms. Mason is a broker with Royal Lepage Your Community Realty, Brokerage. She is past-president of the Toronto Real Estate Board, where she served as chair of the finance and buyer registry system committees and government relations committees. Ms. Mason has served on OREA’s MLS trademark task force and has served on the OREA board since 2006.

The Ontario Real Estate Association represents 45,000 brokers and salespeople who are members of the 43 real estate boards throughout the province. Members of the association may use the “REALTOR^®” trademark, which identifies them as real estate professionals who subscribe to a high standard of ethics and service.

OREA serves REALTORS^® through a wide variety of professional publications, educational programs, government lobbying and other services. A division of the association, the OREA Real Estate College, provides all real estate registration education courses in Ontario.
