Toronto, February 29, 2008...Orillia real estate broker Josephine Manna was elected provincial director of the Ontario Real Estate Association (OREA), the association announced at its annual conference on February 27.

In this capacity, she will represent the Northeastern Ontario area, consisting of the Bancroft, Barrie, Cobourg-Port Hope, Georgian Triangle, Kawartha Lakes, Muskoka and Haliburton, Orillia, Parry Sound, Peterborough and the Kawarthas, Quinte and Southern Georgian Bay real estate boards on the OREA board of directors.

Active in the real estate profession for 20 years, Ms. Manna is a broker with Royal LePage Real Quest Realty, Brokerage in Orillia. She is a member and past president of the Orillia and District Real Estate Board where she served as a member of the finance and MLS committees. Most recently, she served as chair of the board’s political action committee.

The Ontario Real Estate Association represents 45,000 brokers and salespeople who are members of the 43 real estate boards throughout the province. Members of the association may use the “REALTOR®” trademark, which identifies them as real estate professionals who subscribe to a high standard of ethics and service.

OREA serves REALTORS® through a wide variety of professional publications, educational programs, government lobbying and other services. A division of the association, the OREA Real Estate College, provides all real estate registration education courses in Ontario.
