Pre-Registration Courses Mini Review CD

The OREA Real Estate College is pleased to introduce a new product, the Mini Review CD. This review consists of a series of review questions taken from each of the pre-registration courses including Phase 1, 2 and Phase 3 Residential.

It has been designed to assist students in our distance delivery programs (e-learning and correspondence) in their efforts to prepare for the examination. Once a review question is answered, the program will immediately advise the student if the selected answer is correct.

Accommodating a Special Need

Students having a disability (as defined in the Ontario Human Rights Code) that would prevent them from completing a course or taking examinations under standard conditions may request special accommodations and arrangements. Any such request will be considered on a case by case basis, with a view to providing equal opportunity for performance and to meet the student's disabiltity-related needs. Students requesting accommodation on the basis of disability will be required to have their regulated health professional complete the Student Request For Accommodation of a Special Need form.

The form must be completed at the time of enrolment in a course and must be submitted promptly by the student to the Assistant Director - Registration Education, OREA Real Estate College, 99 Duncan Mill Road, Don Mills, Ontario, M3B 1Z2.

Reminder to Pre-registration Students:

If a student chooses to complete an articling course before completing Phases 1, 2 and 3 and attaining Salesperson Registration, the Real Estate Council of Ontario (RECO) will not recognize the credit unless the student re-challenges the examination.

MEMORANDUM TO ALL STUDENTS
Course Update Handbook - REBBA 2002

The new Real Estate and Business Broker Act, 2002 required changes to existing content in all pre-registration, articling and brokerage courses. This handbook highlights those areas in the material where changes are necessary. Students are advised to read the section entitled "How to Use This Handbook" on pages 4 and 5 of the handbook and then refer to the section regarding the specific course in which they are registered. In some instances, workbook page numbers have been referenced. Those students taking an online course, can refer to the headings that have been noted. All of the workbooks are being updated but in the interim, students should retain this handbook for use in their current course and any subsequent courses.

Please be advised that a copy of the Course Update Handbook - REBBA 2002 is available on the OREA Real Estate College website under Registration Education.

Rush Marking

Rush marking is available to students in the Articling Phase whose renewal registration date with the Real Estate Council of Ontario is 3 weeks or less from the examination date.

  • Students who wish to have examinations rush marked are asked to contact the College. Requests for rush marks must be made a minimum of 7 calendar days prior to the examination date.
  • A non refundable administration fee of $50 Will be processed to facilitate this request.

EFFECTIVE IMMEDIATELY, RECO Real Estate Update students may:

  • Withdraw/transfer to and from classroom, correspondence and e-learning courses at no charge.
  • Withdraw/transfer as often as they wish.

Provided that

  • Students who wish to withdraw from a classroom or correspondence course and receive a full refund must do so at least seven calendar days before the session start date.
  • Students who wish to transfer to a later classroom or correspondence course may do so at least seven calendar days before the start date of their existing course.
  • Students who wish to withdraw or transfer from an e-learning course may do so within 48 hours of activation.
