The College is Closing

The OREA Real Estate College will cease to operate on December 31, 2020. Find out how the closing will affect admissions and the deadline to complete programs.

Beyond 2020, OREA will continue to provide services to members, real estate boards and associations across the province.

Deadline for Admissions

  • Admissions documents for The Salesperson Registration Education Program must be received by the OREA Real Estate College no later than April 30, 2019
  • The Admissions Test (if applicable) must be successfully completed on or before April 30, 2019
  • Admissions to The Broker Registration Education Program will not be accepted after April 30, 2019
  • No exceptions or extensions will be permitted

The 2016 board of directors of the Ontario REALTORS Care® Foundation was officially installed at the annual OREA leadership conference in Toronto in March. The commitment of volunteers is vital to the success of the foundation, and these individuals come from across the province.

Barb Whitney of London is President. Elizabeth Wale of St. Catharines is President-Elect. Larry Cerqua of Toronto is Toronto Real Estate Board (TREB) Director. Karen Cox of Grey Highlands is OREA Director. Krista Del Gatto of the Windsor-Essex County Association of REALTORS® is Public Director – Executive Officer. Wendy Giroux of the Peterborough & the Kawarthas Association of REALTORS® is Public Director; Jenny Kotulak of Milton is REALTOR® Director for Central Ontario; Regan Lee of Smiths Falls is REALTOR® Director for Eastern Ontario; Einas Makki of Timiskaming Shores is REALTOR® Director for Northern Ontario; Debbie Vernon of Bracebridge is REALTOR® Director for Northeastern Ontario; Ed Barisa, CEO of OREA, is Secretary-Treasurer of the Foundation.
