Save the dates: Upcoming webinars on standard forms

Residential Leasing IssuesSign up for a seminar to learn more about the standard forms used in real estate transactions. The Ontario Real Estate Association (OREA) is organizing nine web seminars (webinars) to help you handle and manage OREA standard forms with ease.

With the New Year upon us, this webinar series is being offered to keep you current. It will cover a variety of topics related to real estate forms and clauses. The 45-minute sessions are free and open to all OREA members, with 15 minutes set aside at the end for questions and answers. All you need is a computer with working speakers and internet access.

“It’s crucial for REALTORS® to understand the complexities of forms and to correctly use the right forms in the right situations in order to provide excellent service to buyers and sellers,” says Cassandra Agnew Walker, OREA senior manager, standard forms. “Forms and clauses are a key part of every transaction and these webinars will help OREA members to develop confidence to guide your clients and customers, while maintaining integrity in trading activities.”

The webinar format is interactive, enabling you to submit questions, listen to speakers and hear informative examples while watching slides related to the topic. Those who cannot participate in the seminar on the date offered can watch a recorded version at a convenient later date and time.

OREA members can register at any time in order to obtain a login link for the webinar. On the day of the event, members can log in up to 30 minutes before the scheduled start time. Participation will be on a first-come, first-served basis.

2017 forms and clauses revisions update Jan. 17 at 1:00 p.m.
Commercial relationships and OREA standard forms Feb. 15 at 11:00 a.m.
Forms to assist in your day-to-day trading - Breakdown of available OREA forms March 15 at 12 noon
Master offer situations using OREA forms May 17 at 1:00 p.m.
Co-operating, co-brokering and communicating - There’s a form for that! June 21 at 11:00 a.m.
Healthy business practices start with OREA Standard forms July 19 at 12 noon
Standard forms question period - You ask, OREA answers Sept. 20 at 1:00 p.m.
Evolving with e-commerce in real estate transactions Oct. 18 at 11:00 a.m.
Listing and selling a business using standard forms Nov. 15 at 12 noon
