If passed, TRESA will replace the Real Estate and Business Brokers Act (REBBA) and will make significant changes to raise professional standards, strengthen consumer protection and create a stronger business environment for Ontario REALTORS®, including allowing REALTORS® to form PRECs
Tim Hudak is the CEO of the Ontario Real Estate Association, Canada’s largest provincial real estate industry association representing 78,000 REALTORS®. Tim joined OREA after a distinguished 21 years of public service in the Ontario Legislature – including five years as Leader of the Progressive Conservative Party of Ontario. Since becoming CEO in December 2016, he and his OREA team have focused on transforming OREA into Ontario’s most effective professional association that delivers high-impact advocacy on behalf of REALTORS® and consumers, and provides quality services to members. During his first year as OREA CEO, he was named one of the most powerful people in residential real estate by Swanepoel Power 200 2017/18.
Active in real estate for 25 years, Ms. Cox is the owner and broker of record at Sea and Ski Realty Limited in Grey Highlands. Ms. Cox is OREA’s 2019 President, where she represents 78 000 REALTORS® and lobbies on behalf of OREA to promote higher standards in real estate for the benefit of consumers. In 2011, Ms. Cox was presented with the prestigious OREA “Volunteer of the year” award for her hard work and dedication to the real estate profession.
Mr. Morrison has been active in the real estate profession for 13 years and is currently a broker and manager for Coldwell Banker Momentum Realty Inc, located in St. Catharines, Ontario. At OREA, Sean has been the Provincial Director for Southern Ontario for three years. Federally, Sean has been a member of the Canadian Real Estate Association’s Federal Affairs Committee.
