“I commend Ontario PC Leader Patrick Brown and Ontario PC Municipal Affairs and Housing Critic Ernie Hardeman for ‘ringing alarm bells’ about the provinces’ home affordability crisis. MPP Hardeman’s motion today asking the government to appoint a panel of industry experts to develop solutions to Ontario’s housing challenge is necessary in order to prevent the crisis from worsening.
It’s good to see the Minister of Housing, Chris Ballard echoing the same concerns today around the province’s affordability crisis. Housing has gotten so far out of reach for first-time home buyers and young families, it’s imperative that policy-makers and industry experts start working together and bringing solutions to the table.”
