The College is Closing

The OREA Real Estate College will cease to operate on December 31, 2020. Find out how the closing will affect admissions and the deadline to complete programs.

Beyond 2020, OREA will continue to provide services to members, real estate boards and associations across the province.

Deadline for Admissions

  • Admissions documents for The Salesperson Registration Education Program must be received by the OREA Real Estate College no later than April 30, 2019
  • The Admissions Test (if applicable) must be successfully completed on or before April 30, 2019
  • Admissions to The Broker Registration Education Program will not be accepted after April 30, 2019
  • No exceptions or extensions will be permitted

Tim Hudak became the CEO of the Ontario Real Estate Association (OREA) in 2016 after a long and impressive career in provincial politics. He served as Leader of the Progressive Conservative Party of Ontario, Opposition Leader, and a Member of Provincial Parliament, representing the people of Niagara for 21 years. He served in three Cabinet portfolios; as Minister of Northern Development and Mines, Minister of Tourism, Culture and Recreation, and Minister of Consumer and Business Services.

2018 OREA President

Mr. Reid is co-owner and sales representative at Enjoy Muskoka Realty Inc. Brokerage in Muskoka. He has been active in the real estate profession for 15 years. He is a Past-President of the Muskoka Haliburton Orillia – The Lakelands Association of REALTORS®, and previously served as Director of the Association. Mr. Reid has served as member and Chair of several of the Association’s committees including the MLS® and professional standards committees. At OREA, he recently served as Chair of Finance and Audit committee.

David Reid assumed the role of President of OREA following the Association’s annual conference on February 27-March 1, 2018 in Toronto, Ontario.
