CSAE elects OREA CEO

OREA CEO Edward Barisa was elected to the Canadian Society of Association Executives (CSAE) Board of Directors at the CSAE National Conference and Showcase in October. Ed also received a 20 year membership service pin at the conference.

OREA CEO Edward Barisa was elected to the Canadian Society of Association Executives (CSAE) Board of Directors at the CSAE National Conference and Showcase in October. Ed also received a 20 year membership service pin at the conference. Ed has served on the CAE® Program Task Force and was one of the first members to receive the CAE designation through the Prior Learning Assessment Recognition (PLAR) which assesses and recognizes learning acquired through formal and informal study. Fluently bilingual in Canada’s official languages, he was awarded the CSAE Pinnacle Award in 2007 and early this year won the Chapter Service Excellence Award from the CSAE Trillium Chapter. The award recognizes Ed’s excellence in volunteerism.
