Electronic workshops offered to OREA members

If you’d like to take some professional development on leadership but are short on time or travel funds, a new eWorkshop format may be right for you.

If you’d like to take some professional development on leadership but are short on time or travel funds, a new eWorkshop format may be right for you. You can attend a workshop with your colleagues from the convenience of your local association office, a brokerage in your community, or another location of your choice. All you need is a computer with internet connection and a phone with a speaker.

The OREA Centre for Leadership Development has recently launched eWorkshops that are both interactive and collaborative. You and your association members can gather in small groups in your own communities to take the following courses:

Leadership 200 – Becoming a Leader: This three-hour course helps you accelerate your leadership development with strategic planning tools and techniques that give you the ability to see the big picture. You’ll learn how to manage risk, address meeting challenges and build teams as you get more involved in association leadership;

Leadership 300 – Enhancing Leadership Skills: This course helps you to strengthen your executive leadership skills so that you can work effectively and efficiently. This three-hour, interactive learning experience enhances your ability to build consensus, chair meetings and answer tough questions.

These courses are also available in classroom format. However, the eWorkshop version will save you travel time and costs while you still enjoy the benefits of a class environment, including group discussions and an interactive experience. You will earn two CE credits per course and learn important content that will help you as a leader. Each eWorkshop costs $75 per person plus tax.
