The Ontario Real Estate Association officially installed its new President and Board of Directors at the Annual Assembly Meeting and Leadership Conference held in Toronto recently. Patricia Verge of Ottawa is the President for 2015. Ray Ferris of Port Rowan was chosen as President-Elect and will become President in 2016. Costa Poulopoulos of London becomes Immediate Past President. Directors at Large are: Tom Lebour (Mississauga); Valerie Miles (Bancroft); and Anna Vozza (Windsor). The Commercial Director is Eavan Travers (London) and the CREA Regional Director is Ron Abraham (King City). Paul Etherington of Pickering is Substantial Membership Director. Provincial Directors for OREA’s six regions of the province are: Ettore Cardarelli of Mississauga and Maureen O’Neill of Toronto (Central Ontario); Linda McCallum of Ottawa (Eastern Ontario); David Reid of Muskoka (Northeastern Ontario); David Kurt of Sudbury (Northern Ontario); John Oddi of Brantford (Southern Ontario) and Karen Cox of Grey Highlands (Western Ontario).
I wouldn’t have become president of OREA if it wasn’t for the top-notch training developed by OREA’s Centre for Leadership Development.

An ad campaign designed to promote REALTOR® value to the public will continue until the end of 2018. That decision is the result of a vote on a special levy to fund the extension of the campaign at the annual general meeting of the Ontario Real Estate Association (OREA).
Many personal and professional benefits come from volunteering, as the president of a local real estate association learned after a year in office.
