The Ontario Real Estate Association (OREA) is hosting a webinar on Wednesday, March 15 from 12 noon to 1 p.m. It is free to all OREA members. If you want to stay up to date on all of the forms needed to fulfil your obligations and comply with trading regulations, sign up for the webinar.

The webinar is called Standard Forms That Can Assist in Day-to-Day Trading. The facilitator is Cassandra Agnew Walker, senior manager, standard forms, at OREA. She is a former REALTOR®, OREA director and real estate instructor. The special guest speaker is Lou Radomsky, a lawyer, real estate instructor, and counsel to OREA’s standard forms committee.

“The demands in real estate are constantly evolving and it’s important for REALTORS® to keep current,” says Agnew Walker. “Legal and regulatory requirements as well as professional standards change on a regular basis. The same goes for the obligations regarding documents in all real estate transactions.”

This webinar introduces the full list of forms necessary to ensure compliance and integrity in your trading activities, she adds. All real estate professionals will benefit from this overview of the most current forms available to assist with each stage of the transaction.

The webinar will cover:

  • Forms required by legislation for everyday transactions
  • Additional forms available to help with discovery, disclosure or communication before or during transactions
  • The benefits of using standard forms.

Participants will have the opportunity to submit questions and share their own experiences. This webinar is just one in a series related to standard forms presented by OREA. Like all webinars, the format for this topic will be interactive. You can submit questions, listen to speakers and watch slides related to the topic. If you can’t participate in the seminar on the date offered, you can watch a recorded version at a later date and time convenient to you.

OREA members can register in advance in order to obtain a login link for the webinar. On the day of the webinar, members can log in up to 30 minutes before the scheduled start time.
